In some parts of Portugal you might think you’re somewhere else…
Particularly in the South lots of houses are painted with whitewash – it makes homes so much more fresh during the Summer heat and, let’s face it, it’s aesthetically pleasing. A village of white houses against the backdrop of a deep blue sky is something you’re likely to see mostly in the Alentejo and Algarve regions. Here I’m showing you a door in Castelo de Vide, which I thought was both simple and mesmerizing – a bit like a Southern Europe kind of zen. 😉
What country does this door make you think of? Greece? Morocco? Italy? Tunisia?
