There’s a place in Sintra, a little more than a village, called Azenhas do Mar.
It stands right by the sea and it has a minuscule beach – still, it’s a beautiful place with its own share of history, tradition and collective memories. Azenhas do Mar is one of those places where, even if you don’t want to go to the beach or have a meal, you can just stand there and admire the ocean.
Do you see the face in the rock? Can you see the nose, the lips and the chin? Maybe old Neptune carved a statue of himself in Azenhas do Mar… 😉
