Some people take Christmas traditions seriously, others see it as just another opportunity to be with friends and family and some others are in it just for the food. In Portugal, some people attend Midnight Mass and have very specific religious rites while others enjoy a family dinner on the 24th eating good old bacalhau or octopus. Some families make a tradition of having everyone together for dinner on the 24th while others are all about lunch on the 25th (yes, we tend to be very sentimental about food). Some exchange presents at midnight and others open their presents on the morning of the 25th.
Regardless of your view on Christmas I wish you, fellow bloggers, faithful readers, occasional readers and everyone else, happy holidays and a wonderful new year! Boas festas!
