Meet the Zêzere, my favourite Portuguese river. I’ve mentioned it several times before but have never shown it like this. This river is full of these amazing snake-like shapes, with lots of zig zags (click to see in a larger format).
Photo taken at the Miradouro da Sarnadela (remember what I told you about miradouros in the last post?) in Janeiro de Cima.
What is your favourite river?

Great photo. My favourite? The Vistula, Poland.
Thanks! The Vistula looks beautiful and big, from what I’ve seen.
I’m sure the Zêzere will be one of my favourites when I see it!
this one
Ah! Zêzere is a winner! 😀
What a breath taking view!
I’m not sure I have a favourite river, but I have some affinity with the Rhine in Germany, as I grew up close to it. Probably not the most picturesque river in the world but but it featured in our lives as an ever present entity, reliable but sometimes unpredictable.
Maybe it wasn’t picturesque, but it means something to you 😉
Hmm… Rhone, Danube+Black River+Fast River (Romania), Rhine, Tejo… well, a lot of them!
Ah! That’s six rivers! 😀 But I’m glad the Tejo is among them 🙂
🙂 Of course!
Beautiful place 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
